Show Notes

Mark Wood is a legend in the violin world and music community. Mark has accomplished so much in his life, including creating the first solid body electric violin, traveling the world performing with the Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Celine Dione, and Billy Joel (along with so many others), and now rocking out with students throughout the nation. As he has studied and learned from some of the brightest names in the music world, the "Van Halen of the Violin World" has earned countless awards including an Emmy Award in his time performing and now spends his life and skills advocating for music globally.

Mark Wood joins Ken Burke on The Stage to talk about his life as a rock violinist and how he changed the world by bringing together the classical violin style with rock and roll. Mark and Ken discuss changing the violin industry, how it has been performing with some of the biggest stars and groups in music, and why he started the Mark Wood Music Foundation. Mark even gives listeners a glance into his world on the episode as he rocks out on his violin in the interview!

As a part of his Electrify Your Symphony  movement, Mark's Breakout Tour kicks off in October, so make sure to visit Mark's website for locations and tickets now!
